Celebrities Who Smoke E-Cigarettes
It seems as though electronic cigarettes are becoming more and more prevalent in American culture. They seem to be in the headlines, and talked about more than ever. It’s definitely starting to become apparent in the United States, with all of the smoking bans in public places like restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. More and more smokers are using e-cigarettes in these public areas, and the Hollywood crowd is leading the way.
Several famous actors are currently known to use electronic cigarettes: Leonardo DiCaprio, Kevin Federline, Nikki Reed, Eric Roberts, Johnny Depp. These are only a few of the celebrities who have been filmed using e-cigs. Why are they attracted to electronic cigarettes instead of traditional tobacco cigarettes? Many people choose e-cigarettes over traditional ones to save money, but these are celebrities. Money isn’t really an issue for people whose net worth is in the millions. That would probably mean that they’re actually choosing to use e-cigs instead of smoking regular cigarettes because they like them better.
Many other celebrities have been confirmed as e-cigarette smokers; Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Taryn Manning, Kate Moss, and Danny Bonaduce are some of them. On an episode of David Letterman, Katherine Heigl actually came on the show with her own electronic cigarette and demonstrated how to use it. Letterman himself even took a few puffs.
Former baseball star Jose Conseco, famed musician Tom Petty, Entourage’s Kevin Connolly, Paris Hilton, Charlie Sheen, and American Idol’s Ryan Seacrest: even celebrities who have been publicly seen smoking electronic cigarettes. With so many big name celebrities using e-cigs, it seems that it’s only a matter of time before they become even more prevalent in American life. Who will be the next big star spotted using one?
